THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2020.
The South Carolina Project Based Learning Conference and Expo will be held on Thursday, April 30 from 8:30 AM-3:00 PM at the River Center at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia, SC. This event is sponsored by the Center of Excellence for College and Career Readiness and The Riley Center at Furman University.
This all-day event will provide K20 teachers and administrators the opportunity to attend roundtable and workshop sessions featuring experienced PBL instructors, to display posters about their own classroom projects, and to discuss PBL with other teachers.
Additionally, we will be featuring a hands-on session with A.J. Juliani, author of Empower: What Happens When Students Own Their Learning and Launch: Using Design Thinking to Boost Creativity and Bring Out the Maker in Every Student.
At this event, teachers from South Carolina will showcase the projects that they have been developing and/or implementing. Teachers and administrators will have the chance to browse the projects, which will be presented “gallery style,” talk to experienced project-based learning instructors, ask questions about using PBL in the classroom, and share their ideas and strategies with others.
****If you are currently implementing PBL in your classroom and would like to share your work in a poster session you will receive free admission to the event. Simply choose the “presenter” option on the registration form. You will be sent to a short survey about your project.
Registration is $25 for attendees and free for presenters. Lunch is included. Go to www.pblexpo.eventbrite.com to register or scan the QR code below with your mobile device:
