The 2019 P20 Summit, held on the campus of Francis Marion University on November 1, 2019, brought together educators from across the state, discussing ways to create and sustain partnerships with local businesses and industries.
Speakers for the P20 Summit included Dr. Rainey Knight, Interim Director of the SC Education Oversight Committee, and Les Echols, Director of Community and Minority Enterprise for the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.
After lunch, a panel discussion was held featuring Darrell Jameson of the Academy for Careers and Technology in Marion SC, Dr. Tammy Haile from Chesterfield County Schools, and Gretchen Trexler from Cheraw High School. They provided insights on ways they have created partnerships with business and industry in their respective districts, in order to provide work-based learning to their students.
